In its continued efforts to build its international partnerships, Casablanca Finance City (CFC) has announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Lujiazui Financial City Authority, the institute in charge of developing Shanghai’s financial district.
This is the second partnership signed by CFC with a Chinese financial center. Its first Chinese partnership was signed in May of 2018 with the financial center of Beijing (Beijing).
This new partnership marks a step forward in extending Casablanca Finance City’s cooperation network with the world’s leading financial markets. It also confirms China’s interest in the African market and CFC’s potential as an access point for investment opportunities within the continent.
The aim of the memorandum is to lay the foundations for a sustainable cooperation between the two parties, particularly by promoting the development of green and sustainable finance.
In addition, the MOU means to facilitate the exchange of information and expertise. Notably, through the co-development of programs targeting education, professional training and research. This open discourse will pave the way to a number of collaborations, such as joint publications and visits between delegations.
